DNASU is a central repository for plasmid clones and collections. We currently store and distribute over 200,000 plasmids including over 75,000 human and mouse plasmids, full genome collections from numerous organisms, the protein expression plasmids from the Protein Structure Initiative as the PSI:Biology-Materials Repository (PSI:Biology-MR), and both small and large collections from individual researchers.
Next Generation Sequencing
The DNASU Sequencing facility offers Next Generation DNA Sequencing using the Illumina HiSeq 2000 and MiSeq platforms. This supports experimental applications such as high throughput DNA sequencing, genome wide association studies (GWAS), gene regulation analysis, SNP discovery and functional variation analysis, cytogenetic analysis, DNA-protein interaction analysis (ChIP-Seq), and sequencing-based methylation analysis.
The DNA sequencing services at Center for Personalized Diagnostics (CPD) provides investigators access to automated DNA sequencing for purified DNA and glycerol stocks. The facility accepts both individual samples and 96-well plates.
High Throughput DNA Purification Preps
The Protein Array Core offers high throughput DNA preps in a 96-well plate format. Preps are performed on a fully automated HighRes Biosolutions system called The DNA Factory, that was custom built for the needs of The Center of Personalized Diagnostics. The Core offers both a standard purity and a high purity prep, both which have been validated for a number of different applications.
NAPPA Protein Array Core
The NAPPA Protein Array Core uses a novel protein microarray technology, called Nucleic Acid-Programmable Protein Array (NAPPA), which replaces the complex process of spotting purified proteins with the simple process of spotting plasmid DNA. Our facility offers high throughput DNA preparation, pre-set and custom protein array production, and array screening services.
